Welcome

During the many years that it has existed, Quidditch has fascinated witches and wizards alike. Whether they enjoy taking part in the rough and brutal sport or simply enjoy watching it from the comfort and security of the stands, it is a sport that is loved on both the national and international stages. The international stage is by far the grandest though and the International Quidditch League has devoted themselves to making sure that it remains as such.

The Quidditch World Cup consists of two different parts. The first part is just standard league play where all of the teams play against each other and their records will control their position in the standings. The second part is the finals where the top teams from league play will compete against each other for the coveted World Cup and the prestige of being the best team around.

The 2008 - 2009 season is just about to get underway and the teams that seem to be stirring up the most interest at the moment are the Irish Sidhe, the Japanese Kamitsu, the Spanish Snidgets, and the USA Foundry. Who will come out on top at the end of the season? There is no way of knowing until it is over but that is half the fun is it not?

A listing of all positions, both available and taken, on the current Qudditch teams. More teams will be added as needed.

{{ THE IRISH SIDHE }}
They are definitely one of the more physical team in the International Quidditch League. They are not afraid to go after the other team and aren't all that concerned with getting penalties for fouling people. They focus more on defense than offense, but that doesn't mean that their offense is non-existent.

Beater 2: Willie O'Duffy

{{ THE JAPANESE KAMITSU }}
They are one of the more graceful teams in the International Quidditch League. They focus more on technique than anything else really. They almost always fly in tight formations and concentrate more on the offense than the defense. This is definitely one of the more beautiful teams to watch in action.

Chaser 1: Tetsu Hakura
Chaser 2: -Open-
Chaser 3: -Open-
Beater 1: Mamoru Kaida
Beater 2: -Open-
Keeper: Hidenori Benjirou

{{ THE SPANISH SNIDGETS }}
They are probably one of the fastest teams in the International Quidditch League. They are known for their speed both on the broom as well as with passing the quaffle. They keep the quaffle moving as much as possible and send the bludgers whenever they can. Speed is their first priority and technique is a close second.

Chaser 1: Javier De'Feoras
Chaser 2: -Open-
Chaser 3: -Open-
Beater 1: -Open-
Beater 2: -Open-
Keeper: Maribelle Vargas
Seeker: Rafael De'Feoras

Team Captain: Javier De'Feoras

{{ THE USA FOUNDRY }}
They are one of the more well-rounded teams in the International Quidditch League. In practice, they focus on both the offense and the defense equally. They run drills regularly so that everything becomes second nature to them and they don't have to think quite as much during a match. They play on instinct instead of logic and tend to be tight on their plays but with a bit of a wild quality to their movement.

Chaser 1: Kenny Gazali
Chaser 2: -Open-
Chaser 3: -Open-
Beater 1: Jo Branwenn
Beater 2: Jay Branwenn
Keeper: -Open-
Seeker: Wynter Guylan

Team Captain: Kenny Gazali
